Just what we wanted weather for our area on battery power and even has an alert setting.
A great little radio for a small price. Easy to operate. Works as expected and meets my needs for travel. Its small size is easy to carry with you wherever you go -- auto, bike, hikes. What more can I say. I love it.
I recently purchased 4 of the Midland HH50 Pocket Weather Radios for use in our school system. The units have worked excellently. The size is great so they are very portable and are extremely user friendly. If you want a weather radio that is very affordable, easy to use, and very user friendly and does what it says, this is the unit for you.
I BOUGHT this radio for weather alerts. That is all we need for hurricane and other alerts. It was the least expensive I could find. It does exactly that and no more. If you want gadgets go right ahead and pay more for another radio. But I think you would be foolish.
This little radio has no trouble picking up the weather frequencies in any of the (Colorado) counties where I took it. The autoscan is handy and the fact that it can be set to be quiet until an alert comes along is a big feature for me. And you sure can't beat the cost. I really like this radio.
